I know how busy everyone is at this extraordinary time, and want to acknowledge how fundamentally important Canada’s water, wastewater and stormwater utility leaders and their frontline teams are right now.
In mid-March, in response to Calgary’s early request for a COVID-19 sharing platform, we launched weekly national calls with our CLG members, as well as coordinating with international groups and curating a set of resources for utility leaders, which have been made available on our website. We are here to support you during this crisis — please continue to reach out to CWN with your feedback and suggestions.
Although all of us are focused on the immediate pandemic response, CWN is now working toward helping you navigate the future following the first peak in the curve. We know there will be a need to do things differently, which will involve adapting to very different realities, needs and even business structures. As we work towards that, I want to share with you the letter below that serves as the introductory page to the Consortium Update for 2019, summarizing our overall position and intent going forward. This update is now in production and will be available in May.
Sincerely,
Bernadette Conant
