In March, Canadian Water Network began hosting and facilitating discussions with utility leaders across Canada on management responses to the COVID-19 pandemic. At the end of April, we shared a report that captured insights from these discussions and provided an important snapshot of challenges, considerations and strategies employed by utilities. The meetings concluded on July 24, 2020 with the understanding that the group would reconvene if needed. CWN staff have since updated the final report to include insights from the April to July meetings.
Over the 19-week period, the sharing of information and best practices evolved from response to proactive planning for scaling up, responding to future resurgence of the virus and devising future contingency plans.
