Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) is pleased to share that the National Freshwater Science Agenda (Science Agenda) is now available online at National Freshwater Science Agenda – Canada.ca.

Led by ECCC over the past two years, the Science Agenda was informed by freshwater science experts, knowledge holders, and science users from across the country. It identifies key freshwater science priorities as a way to focus the attention of the freshwater science community and help to guide and align efforts, strengthen collaboration and coordination, share knowledge, build capacity, and inform evidence-based decision making for Canada’s most pressing freshwater issues over the coming decade.

Next steps to advance the priorities identified in the Science Agenda will require the collective efforts, collaboration, and coordination of the entire freshwater science community. We encourage you to share the Science Agenda widely and to begin discussions within your organizations and networks about how you can contribute to the next steps and work together to advance these science priorities.

If you have any questions about the Science Agenda, please do not hesitate to contact [email protected].
