We must understand the entire story of our communities and become anchor organizations in leading community progress. — Cathy Bernardino Bailey
In May 2021, leaders from the Canadian Municipal Water Consortium convened over two half-days to discuss affordability and equity. CWN staff have captured the insights that emerged and curated additional resources: https://cwn-rce.ca/municipal-consortium/members-area/spring-2021-leaders-roundtable/
Day 1 began with a national conversation on capturing full costs. During the second session, Matthew Pluke and Dean Rice showcased Anglian Water’s award-winning initiatives on customer segmentation and affordability. On Day 2, we looked at defining affordability at the local level. During our final panel discussion, we considered equity and the path forward. CWN thanks Cathy Bernardino Bailey for moderating this important discussion, as well as speakers Jeanna South, Manny Teodoro and Renée Willette.
