Working with the The Saint John Harbour – Environmental Monitoring Partnership, a research team led by Dr. Allen Curry is looking at potential sentinel species of fish and other aspects related to the monitoring of fish.
This study examined the presence and effects of emerging chemicals in the St. Lawrence River, including whether these chemicals were compromising the endocrine systems of wild fish.
This project focused on testing a suite of tools at three sites in the Grand River watershed in Southern Ontario to inform and support decision-makers and practitioners regarding the risks that various wastewater treatment options pose to aquatic ecosystems.
The project team will investigate the impacts of alkaline stabilization on the fate and transport of Emerging Substances of Concern in agricultural soils, plant biomass and drainage water.
