This year’s CLG meeting will be held over three consecutive days ― attend 90-minute sessions on Monday, Oct. 26, Tuesday, Oct. 27 and Wednesday, Oct. 28 at 2:00 p.m. (EDT). Please make time for all three sessions to connect with your peers from across Canada to share your insights of municipal/utility needs moving forward. The CLG meeting provides an important platform to discuss key challenges and priorities, exchange information with other utility leaders, and identify potential opportunities to collaborate.

The agenda has been uploaded to the document library (see Meetings – 2020 – October 26 – 29) or access below:

Agenda – 2020 Fall Leadership Group Meeting

  • Session one (Oct. 26) will highlight takeaways from the regional meetings and allow for conversations to identify key insights for moving your utility forward.
  • Session two (Oct. 27) ― Organizational Resilience and Business Continuity Planning ― will dive into deeper conversations on 1) our most significant asset – human capital; 2) sustainable financial systems on the other side of the pandemic and 3) approaches for ensuring equity and affordability when customers may find it increasingly hard to meet their financial obligations.
  • Session three (Oct. 28) will focus on looking ahead to the future together and discussing what elements are needed to continue to advance the municipal water sector in Canada. Following the final wrap-up, CWN staff will gather your feedback on this event ‘in the hallway’.

There will be opportunities to network further and continue conversations following each of the three 90-minute sessions. This year, the fall meeting will look different, but we need to connect now more than ever. CWN staff are working hard to host an online meeting that will be both engaging and memorable!
