We’re excited to welcome Dana Mears and Stephanie Andrade to Canadian Water Network (CWN). Together, they will advance the net zero water project that is partially funded by the Government of Canada through its Low Carbon Economy Fund’s Implementation Readiness stream.

Introducing Dana Mears

Dana joins our team as a project manager for urban water decarbonization. In this role, she leads the coordination and implementation of the net zero water project. This involves convening, facilitating, and co-chairing the National and the Technical Advisory Committees. It also involves overseeing and implementing communities of practice and in-person learning tours to enhance peer learning and support greenhouse gas reductions in urban water servicing.

Dana is known for her ability to bring diverse stakeholders together to develop action-oriented strategies that address complex environmental challenges. She holds a Master of Resource and Environmental Management and is certified in public engagement through the International Association of Public Participation (IAP2).

Introducing Stephanie Andrade

Stephanie joins CWN as a project coordinator, supporting Dana in the planning and implementation of the net zero water project. Stephanie’s role involves providing support for project planning and implementation activities, including reviewing and monitoring project progress, key deliverables, timelines, and budgets. It also involves developing materials, including meeting agendas and backgrounders, workshops, and presentation slides.

Stephanie holds a degree in wildlife biology and conservation from the University of Guelph, with a minor in French Studies. She has held roles at Rouge National Urban Park, Credit Valley Conservation (CVC), and the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA). With a strong foundation in environmental education and community engagement, Stephanie brings valuable insight and energy to CWN’s work.
