Heather Castleden, Ashlee Cunsolo Willox, Sherilee Harper and Debbie Martin
Using both Indigenous and Western knowledge in integrative ways is being increasingly recognized as an approach to address these serious problems but to date, there has not been a systematic review of what has been done to determine what has worked, what has not, and the reasons why. Thus, the goal of this Integrative Knowledge project was to identify, understand, assess, and synthesize the most promising research and management practices, as well as to explore opportunities, challenges, and future visions for water-related research that uses Indigenous and Western knowledge to inform, and transform, water management practices in integrative and innovative ways.
