The research team undertook a comprehensive assessment of the City of Windsor's infrastructure using a functionality-survivability-sustainability framework to inform decisions on where to direct resources to increase resiliency to climate change.
This overall objective of this project was to moderate the impacts of urban run-off and extreme storm events through green infrastructure on private lands through “user pay” models and other incentives. Approaches like these will reduce the demand for grey stormwater infrastructure and generate a dedicated source of funds for maintenance, renewal and expansion.

The objective of the project was to review, summarize and assess current knowledge regarding wastewater management as it relates to hydraulic fracturing and to identify critical gaps to be addressed by future research.
Using a trans-disciplinary approach, the project team summarized the existing knowledge in this area, identified critical information gaps, outlined methods to address these gaps, and evaluated the relative merits of the identified approaches.
The energy sector is increasingly looking toward hydraulic fracturing for resource extraction to meet future energy needs. As an emerging technology, greater understanding is required to bridge the knowledge gap between decision-makers, researchers, neighbouring communities and the general public.

This project led to the design of an environmental monitoring network for the Tobacco Creek watershed and presented a conceptual model that is transferable to other parts of the Red River Valley.
This project provided the Tobacco Creek Model Watershed Research Consortium with a monitoring framework to evaluate agricultural practices and water management schemes in the watershed and establish baseline data against which to measure the cumulative effects of natural process and management practices.
